HOME & SCHOOL BOARD MEETING – February 8, 2019
The school received a donation that was used to update 15 white dry erase boards.
Registration continues. Kindergarten numbers have decreased due to North Penn starting full day kindergarten next year.
Progress reports are available on My Student’s Progress.
We have not used any snow days yet. The last early dismissal went smoother than the first one. North Penn introduced a 3 hour delay, but Corpus will still operate on a 2 hour delay.
Safe2SaySomething training will be held on February 13th for 5th-8th graders.
The blood drive in honor of Will Scheider will be held on March 17th.
The second grade outreach project will benefit the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation at A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington.
Dave and Alex are in the process of installing new LED lights in the gym.
Spring Fundraiser: Packets explaining the online auction will go home by February 19th. The auction will be live from March 11-15th. Starting bids will be set at 50% of the value of the experience/event and bids will be in 10% increments. A “donate now” button will be available until March 17th for people who just want to make a donation or who have lost out on an item.
Brain Games: This assembly will be held on February 20th with two showings, 9:00 and 10:15. The kids can wear gym their gym uniforms.
Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard will speak about anxiety in children at the next Home and School meeting on February 20. She will merge her top two talks into one, covering anxiety and how to bring joy to the family. She will speak from 6:30-7:30 followed by a 30 minute Q&A.
March Hot Dog Day: The date will be moved from March 20th to March 13th due to the 7th graders being away at the Universal High School Visitation Day.
The Bingo Bash made $2600.
